Composite aesthetic fillings

In the case of dental disease, better known as caries, we clean or grind the diseased part of the tooth and fill it with a white composite filling in the colour of the tooth we are restoring. The repaired tooth looks completely natural and is protected from further decay.

Advantages of composite fillings:

  • After the treatment, the tooth looks completely natural
  • Maximum preservation of healthy dental tissue
  • The strength and appearance of a natural tooth
  • Protecting teeth from further decay
  • Stopping painful dental conditions
  • Restoring the function and aesthetics of the teeth

Amalgam or black metal fillings are a thing of the past. Today, in the clinic, we use only modern white composite fillings or fillings of superior aesthetic and functional value in accordance with world standards. In the case of minor damage or involvement of the teeth, the same should be repaired immediately in order to avoid major tooth ruptures. If this happens to the tooth, we can treat or clean the root (devitalisation), and fill the root canals and adequately rehabilitate the tooth. When grinding teeth, we preserve the maximum amount of healthy tooth tissue, avoiding the spread of disease and complete tooth loss. In case of larger fractures, we can create ceramic fillings using CAD-CAM digital technology in our dental laboratory (inlay, onlay, overlay), or cover the entire tooth with a crown made of selected dental materials.

Protocol for composite aesthetic fillings:

In the first visit, the teeth and gums are examined. Caries is removed and it is determined whether the tooth is for an inlay, onlay or overlay filling. The tooth is ground to make room for the filling and an impression is taken with CAD-CAM. The imprint is sent to a laboratory where technicians make it out of ceramic. The patient receives a temporary filling to protect the tooth. In the second visit, the patient comes to have the filling installed and begins cementing.
